Karen Pery

Karen Pery, MA, CPCC is an executive leadership coach, author and founder of Wrong Turn Ranch. She oversees programs, curriculum and leadership development activities. Formerly a nonprofit program director and university fundraiser, Karen has created and facilitated experiential and transformational learning experiences since 1987. Career highlights range from equine assisted coaching to immersive retreats based around surfing, race car driving, and ballroom dancing. Karen provides vision for the growth of the ranch, partnership opportunities, programmatic engagement, and community building as well as designing and curating experiential learning activities unique to each participant or group. 

Angi Murray

Angi Murray is a founder of Wrong Turn Ranch and leads animal husbandry, rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming efforts. Her focus is centered on respecting the horse at whatever stage of its training journey with a specialty in the rehabilitation of horses deemed “dangerous.” She is a celebrated trainer and has competed multiple times in the Extreme Mustang Makeover. Along with a group of dedicated volunteers, Angi leads the maternity dog rescue project at Wrong Turn Ranch.

Rafe Pery

Rafe Pery is a founder of Wrong Turn Ranch and Pery Consulting Group (now Accounting 501) which provides comprehensive accounting and operations services to the nonprofit sector specializing in assisting organizations with complex private and public funding sources to maximize grants and contracts and to ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Based in Los Angeles, Rafe works directly with social service nonprofit agencies offering natural connections to nonprofit leadership teams. At Wrong Turn, Rafe helps participants develop tools and strategies to overcome real and perceived physical and mental obstacles.

Seth Murray

Seth Murray is a founder of Wrong Turn Ranch who trains horses and people through reward based learning. He organizes and leads on and off-site riding activities and instructs individuals on beginner through advanced riding technique. Seth innovates technical challenges for horses and riders, creating opportunities for personal growth and deepened relationships. Seth takes a similar approach to training and rehabilitating horses, breaking down tasks and providing structure, positive reinforcement, and rewards.
